Batt Insulation
Batt insulation is often installed in open spaces or cavities. They are most commonly used in places such as attics, walls, ceilings, basements, and crawl spaces. It’s the least expensive form of insulation and is quick to install. It’s energy-efficient and maintains effectiveness for years. Batt insulation is usually made of fibreglass. When it comes to batt insulation, we use Rockwool and Owens Corning.
Blanket Insulation
Durham Insulation is your top source for blanket insulation for basements. Blanket insulation is an energy-efficient way to improve the comfort of your basement and prevent your pipes from freezing during the winter. You’ll also notice improved moisture control and even improved property value. It can save you a lot of money in the long run.
Blown Insulation
Blown insulation is commonly made of rock wool and fibreglass, while at Durham Insulation, we prefer to use cellulose, which is a “green” material made from recycled newspapers. We mainly use Climatizer cellulose insulation and ProPink from Owens Corning.
Blown-in insulation has many benefits, such as:
-
Greater efficiency than batt insulation
-
Fast and easy installation
-
Low maintenance
